The term "advance reading" is used
in some form by nearly every book publishing company, but it often has
different meanings so we thought a clarification was
in order. Because Focus House Publishing is so appreciative of the
fans who read our books, we take promotion drafts that used to be circulated only between editors,
authors, and early reviewers and now make them available to
our readers. These advance works (sometimes known as pre-galley, story drafts,
or pre-release editions) are full printed or e-book versions of the author's intended
final book but a version that has not yet been through the final
editing process.
In short, we
hope you enjoy these very collectible editions. However, if you think typos, moderate story inconsistencies, or
later story changes might bother you, you might want to avoid these
early versions. For the rest of you, however, we hope you enjoy these
"sneak-peek" editions. You could even support your favorite author by
buying several versions of every title! |
